|China Glaze "December to Remember"|
"December to Remember" is a muted, sultry cerulean blue frosted over in glassy pink microflakie shimmer with an oblique golden shift. To me, it looks exactly like a cold, clear winter sky just after sunset, rapidly darkening into night while sparse marshmallow clouds still capture remnants of orchid pink and pale gold light. The golden duochrome casts the illusion of boreal green at the edges, like the ethereal skyglow that clings to the nighttime cloud cover of a land whitewashed in snow.
"December to Remember" goes on fairly sheer and minutely streaky, and it dries fairly quickly. I recommend at least three coats, though I used four to eliminate the lingering backlighting glowing up under the nail. You many notice that the finish betrays some brushstrokes, though I didn't actually find them all that annoying in person; but if you do, you could always try adding a matte topcoat and then another clear coat on top of that (à la Sam of Fashion Polish), to diffuse out the streaks!
I picked up "December to Remember" at Ulta, and today I noticed that it is actually on clearance for $3.77, along with the rest of the China Glaze Holiday/Fall/Summer collections!! There it is, the most wonderful time of the year.

What will you be remembering about this December, Twinklings? There were many noteworthy moments during my month; some happy, some sad, some good, some bad; but my favorites are the ones of simple wonderment. Times spent in the woods with my dogs and my man are the best balm to a wearied spirit. It's been a while since these furry little monsters were on the blog, so here they are to say, thank you for reading, loves! It has been a beautiful 2014 beginning here on Tiny Twinklings, and we look forward to venturing forth with you into the glowing promise of the coming year. See you on the other side!
